The Ramapo Federation of State College Teachers is a local of the American Federation of Teachers.  We represent over 550 Faculty, Adjuncts, Professional Staff and Librarians at Ramapo College of New Jersey.

We are represented at the state level by the Council of New Jersey State College Locals  along with the following institutions of higher education: The College of New Jersey, Kean University, Montclair State University, New Jersey City University and the A. Harry Moore School, Ramapo College of New Jersey, Richard Stockton College, Rowan University, Thomas Edison State College and William Paterson University.

What We Do

Your union represents you in employment matters at Ramapo College.

We negotiate local agreements that define terms and conditions of employment, process grievances, and will assist you with problems relating to your employment.

The General Membership of the local meets on a regular basis.  This is the forum where you have a voice and a role in terms and conditions of your employment.

Active members make a strong local union, so get involved!

Your local union is run by an Executive Board that is elected every two years.  The current term is Fall 2008-Spring 2010.

Elections are held in the Spring of even numbered years.  Only members can vote in local elections.
