Dr. Henry (Hank) J. Frundt joined the faculty
of Ramapo College in 1973 and taught here for 37 years.
Hank’s areas of expertise were corporate studies
and Latin American social and economic development.
He studied labor conditions in the United States,
Guatemala and other Central American countries
and was a passionate advocate for workers.
At Ramapo, he served as president of the teachers union,
the Ramapo Federation for State College Teachers, AFT 2274,
as delegate to the Council of NJ State College Locals
and as a liaison to U.S. Labor Against the War.
Dr. Frundt had an unyielding sense of social justice
and he applied it to everything he did:
in the classroom teaching his students,
in faculty meetings, at the union,
and in his intellectual and community work.
